A Focus on Autism

Marcy’s approach with individuals on the Autism Spectrum has proven to be nothing short of amazing. Her calm presence, spontaneous silliness, and her energized personality, add to a musical experience unlike any other.

Whether teaching or performing, Marcy has the ability to pull the music out of just about anyone!!! (that includes you too, so you better watch out!:) Playing and sharing instruments, singing out loud, and various dances and movement games give way to unprompted, interactive entertainment, to be enjoyed by all ages.

With the belief system that only a calm mind will be able to receive knowledge, Marcy finds a way to make everyone feel comfortable. By paying attention to the flow of the student or group, she is able to mix things up at just the right time, often leading to outbursts of laughter and continuous learning.

Marcy’s experience includes:

Feature Performer/Face Painter at the Doug Flutie, Jr Foundation for Autism 5K Benefit
Natick, MA, 2007 and 2008

Birthday Parties/Events
Marcy has performed and painted faces at many birthday parties including individuals on the Autism Spectrums, bringing instruments, microphones, and inspirations to share.

Teaching
Marcy has recently had the high esteem of having one of her students being accepted into The Boston Conservatory Autism Program!!!!! Isaiah Ferro, a 16 year old student in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, is an outstanding pianist, and has been taught exclusively by Marcy up until his recent acceptance into The Boston Conservatory!!!
